The private electricity production is not harming anyone except ‘those state-owned enterprises and local municipalities that are now bearing the brunt of their efforts to have South Africans use less electricity from local suppliers’. It's time for a change.

16 Whitehouse, our self-catering unit is off-grid. It gets the power from our Photovoltaic panels on the roof. The time, where one thinks green and built up PV on the roof and generate electricity with an inverter is over.
Did you know in South Africa, the municipality/government owns the grid, creates the laws and bylaws and is the major vendor for Eskom power. Do you realize why we have load shedding in South Africa?
We learnt our lesson, therefore we decided to go off-grid with our self-catering 16 White House.
