Wine walks in Robertson.
Autumn is the right time for outdoor adventures. A leisure hike in the vineyards gives you a nice insight into the valley. Listen to the birds, watch the people harvesting the crop and enjoy nature.
The most important thing is to get permission from the landowner/farmer/wine estate. Most of the estates allow you to make a nice hike through their vineyards by prior arrangement. Please always respect other people’s property and follow the advice of the farmer.
We recently started our hike at Excelsior wine estate. It really was amazing until we had to turn around due to fences by Zandvliet. This is industrial farming! Do we really like it and far more important, does nature like it? Please support our local farmers!
After our hike, one can blend their own wine, but we enjoyed lunch at the deli.
Stay at GUBAS DE HOEK meet eat sleep for a wonderful hiking experience in the Robertson Wine Valley. See you there.
